Zac and I REALLY loved our time in Cambodia, and Siem Reap was the best! We stayed for about 5 days and had the freedom and flexibility of the same tuk tuk driver, Jim, who was fantastic.
THINGS WE DID:
Visited a Floating Village
It was very cool. We took the tuk tuk and then a boat with a guide who lives in the floating village. He had started his own charity to help the children in the village have an education, and we got to visit the school. So many children and one teacher - and no sense of order throughout the building. It was a crazy experience. I loved watching the kids. Perhaps one of my most favourite things to do while we were in Cambodia was observe children - barely wearing any clothing, and always full of smiles and waves.

Walked through Town
There were some cute stores and, of course, markets, everywhere. While walking through town one day we came across an opportunity to let little fish give us a pedicure. Sooo ticklish!!

This hospital for children needed donations for children. Rather
than donating money, Zac and I chose toys and other things
we thought they would like the most. |
 |
| We spent most of our time here shrieking and laughing |

I spent most of my time like this, trying to control myself
Visited a Silk Farm
While we were in Siem Reap we discovered a really cool silk farm that took us on a tour of the whole process of Cambodian Silk. At the end there was, of course, a store to buy a variety of products where we bought my Mom a present. Zac got to choose the colour. Hope you like it Mom!

Aspara Show
While we were in Siem Reap we saw an Aspara Show with traditional Cambodian dance and music. I loved it. Zac;s favourite part included a man dressed as a dragon who chased a girl dressed as a bird. The food was not impressive, but no matter.

The dances often include slow, deliberate
movements with their hands. Check it out!
Horseback Riding
We did this through the countryside at sunset. That was a definite highlight :) While in the fields we came across some children who were playing while their parents worked in the field. One of my favourite experiences of the whole trip! They were so adorable.

| I took a picture of these boys and showed it to them and they LOVED it! :) |

Ancient Temples and Ruins
We saw Angkor Wat!! And took a tuk-tuk around to a variety of other temples that we loved. One looked like it was from Indiana Jones and Zac had fun climbing over everything (his favourite). One was gorgeous and made of pink stone (my favourite). They were all really cool. It was unbelievably hot though, and we were happy to just spend the one day exploring the temples.

War Museum
While travelling in between temples we saw a sign for the Landmine Museum and had to stop. I'm so glad we did! It was filled with landmines, weapons, and fascinating information about the history of Cambodia. Zac's first official history lesson of many.
